AJ Styles just had a lengthy title reign, which by default leads to a very small probability that AJ would win the Rumble. However, on the last SmackDown, we saw AJ assaulting Vince McMahon – which is definitely a harbinger of events to come. Either AJ is turning heel or the creative team is adding another dimension to his character.
Personally, I think the creative is turning AJ into a ‘tweener’ to add a new edge to his character before it gets stale. Earlier, I predicted that AJ would be facing Orton at WrestleMania and his edgy new persona would help make the feud even more interesting. However, it could also lead to AJ turning on Rey Mysterio and setting up a triple threat match between AJ, Daniel and Rey at WrestleMania for the WWE Title – which would be one hell of a match.
