Match 3: Daniel Bryan © vs. AJ Styles – WWE Championship
We’ve already seen Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles thrice in the past year and they’ve been spectacular against one another. The matches have been nothing short of Match of the Year contenders and I expect nothing less at the Royal Rumble.
Finally, some fire has been added to the feud with Daniel Bryan’s heel turn, spurring his visible motivation and change in ideologies. It seems like this is the final singles match between the two for a while as they’ll move on to their respective programs for WrestleMania.
Who should win the match? AJ Styles ruled throughout 2018 as the WWE Champion and hence, it’s time for Daniel Bryan to carry the torch forward by retaining the title.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan will emerge victorious after pinning AJ Styles in the aftermath of some shenanigans. Do not expect this match to be devoid of controversy.
Match Rating Prediction: 5 out of 5 – They will top their TLC encounter and kill the show. Will definitely be a MOTY contender.
WrestleMania Prediction: AJ Styles starts a feud with Randy Orton around Elimination Chamber for a match between the two at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan moves ahead and finds a new challenger for his WWE Title. I suspect it’ll be Rey Mysterio if Shawn Michaels refuses to come out of retirement.
