The storyline here is simple. Former champion Becky Lynch is getting her rematch against Asuka, who has impressed Vince McMahon lately. The creative has been smart enough to tease a lot of physicality between the two to add some heat. With Becky’s skyrocketing popularity, the match automatically has eyes set on it.
Plus, it’s also encouraging to see WWE finally investing in Asuka by placing the belt on her. Charlotte has played a supporting role in the rivalry, which hints at Becky and Charlotte being involved together in a program at WrestleMania with Ronda Rousey. This means Asuka should be emerging victorious here.
Who should win the match? After months of struggling, Asuka has finally won the well-deserved gold and it’d be a shame to lose it so quickly. Hence, she should retain here.
Prediction: Asuka will win this match following some controversy to protect Becky Lynch in defeat. We can expect a count-out or an unintentional disqualification. Expect Ronda Rousey to get involved and seek revenge for what Becky did to her prior to Survivor Series.
