7. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose – WWE Intercontinental Championship
What started off as an intriguing feud lost its steam midway through as Dean Ambrose decided to come out dressed as Bane and began insulting the audience to gain cheap heat. This rivalry deserved a lot better and I really hope this doesn’t damage Ambrose in the long-term because there is lots of money to be made there. Dean Ambrose is a natural heel, who still hasn’t reached his potential yet.
However, what started off incorrectly doesn’t have to end that way. I still expect this rivalry to get better post-TLC with Ambrose evolving and finding his footing in the process. Can you imagine Strowman vs. Corbin being a TLC match and not this?
Who needs the victory more: Dean Ambrose needs it more because he needs to build some momentum after his heel turn.
Prediction: Seth Rollins would win this via disqualification after Ambrose hits him with a steel chair or the title belt or just kicks him in the nuts. This keeps the rivalry going and protects both performers.
Match Rating Prediction: 3.75 out of 5 – This should be a great match-up. However, due to Ambrose’s turn, there’ll be some mischief involved. From a technical standpoint, the WWE will focus more on storytelling than just technical wrestling.
