11. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Asuka – SmackDown! Women’s Championship
This should have been more about Becky and Charlotte and shouldn’t have included Asuka. However, she’s seemingly been added for a reason. Either she’s taking the title off Becky for a potential Rumble showdown in January between Charlotte and Becky – or she’ll be protecting either Becky or Charlotte in the finish.
Either way, the heat in the rivalry has degraded to an extent because of Asuka’s involvement and frequent match-ups between Becky and Charlotte. Becky was the clear winner in the feud and therefore, it makes no sense for Charlotte to be involved in another title match except if it’s to keep her relevant before a potential rematch with Ronda Rousey.
Who needs the victory more: Since she got her turn, Becky has been unstoppable on the mic, in the ring and even on Twitter. Considering how popular she is, she definitely needs to retain the title to stay on top – and it could also be good for business.
Prediction: Charlotte wins the title after throwing Asuka off the ladder. Becky should be protected in some way (probably Nia Jax’s interference after she loses to Ronda). This should build to a Champion vs. Champion rematch between Charlotte and Ronda at Royal Rumble.
Match Rating Prediction: 4.5 out of 5 – Women’s wrestling has been stealing the show lately and WWE TLC shouldn’t be any different. Three of the most talented women wrestlers are involved in this match and I expect them to hit a home-run again. Plus, with tables, ladders and chairs involved, this could get even better. Given how it was booked at the go-home show, it should be main-eventing WWE TLC 2018.
